The Lanka Premier League (LPL) could face another delay with the primary reason being the 14-day quarantine period mandated by the government.
The LPL was scheduled to be played from November 14 to December 6. A short while after the announcement, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced the resumption of the remaining PSL 5 matches from November 14 to 17.
The PSL’s Quetta Gladiators franchise will also take part in the LPL as Galle Gladiators. According to sources, the Sri Lankan government’s insistence on a mandatory 14-day quarantine period has left the timely start of the league in danger. Bangladesh’s tour of Sri Lanka is also not confirmed yet due to the same issue.
